Actress Rosario Dawson is in Birmingham to speak at a Hispanic Heritage Month event Thursday night at UAB.BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -
Actress Rosario Dawson is visiting UAB today to speak during a campus celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
The event starts at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 in the Alys Stephens Center. It is free and open to the public.
Besides acting in films including "Sin City" and "Seven Pounds," Dawson is also known for her activism. She co-founded the non-partisan organization "Vote Latino," a group that encourages young Hispanics to vote.
