Coach Saban shocked the media in his post game news conference on Saturday. After beating Florida Atlantic 40 to 7, Saban said that he was "pleased" with the way his players approached and played in the football game.

Saban, who is known for focusing heavily on what needs to be improved, also stated that the players were focused and practiced well all week.

"All in all, I was pleased with our approach," said Saban.

The coach made a note that he was happy to have some of the younger players get experience playing in the game.

"We got to play a lot of players today," said Saban. "I think those things are going to benefit us down the road."

For those worrying about the coach going soft, he still had issues with some areas of the game such as the two sacks on quarterback A.J. McCarron.

"We still need to focus on improving," said Saban.
