SEGMENT 1 -- FRUGAL HALLOWEEN -- THRIFT STORES WITH NEW IN PACKAGE HALLOWEEN COSTUMES
I stopped by the Goodwill Thrift Store in Homewood today and spotted a ton of new in the package and new with tag costumes for pets, babies, toddlers, kids and adults.
Most were scary but there were a number of cute costumes for those of you who aren't big on zombies, dracula and skeletons.
There were lots of Disney costumes, Mario and more -- all of the costumes were from Target. (Donated from last year's clearance)
Prices were $5 or less.
Some of the more complicated or larger adult costumes were $10. Regular price $30 to $60.
I spotted one used Pottery Barn Kids costume for $2 -- it was a cookie is size 2T.
Check your Goodwill, Salvation Army and others for
Halloween costumes. Retailers donate clearance to thrift stores
nationwide.
SEGMENT 2 PUMPKIN INFUSED BROWNIES 2 INGREDIENTS
A cute cooking blog I found via Pinterest called Cookies & Cups
shared a super easy recipe for Pumpkin Brownies.
Her 2 ingredient pumpkin brownies consist of basically brownie mix and pumpkin in a can.
Not only is it a frugal recipe money wise it's also frugal calorie wise (except when you add the icing).
I tried it last night and it worked perfectly, just had to cook it a little longer than normal but other than that they were delicious.
SEGMENT 3
If you need a booster seat for your car Target will have a pretty good deal on their booster seat series by Graco Colorz starting SUNDAY.
The seat will be $14 (regular price $19.99) and the cover will be $1.
Normally the cover is $5.99. The idea is to select the pattern your child would like.
Go here to see the product online.
Remember the price starts Sunday -- Sept. 30.
