Two teens in custody for allegedly breaking into vehicle

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

Two teenagers are in custody after police busted them for allegedly trying to break into a vehicle in Tuscaloosa.

Police got a call around 1 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28 reporting an automobile burglary in progress in the 100 block of Orange Street.

Officers took two suspects into custody after arriving to the scene. One of the suspects has been identified as Timothy John Nara, an 18-year-old from Tuscaloosa. The other suspect is a 16-year-old male whose identity has not been released because he is a juvenile.

Police say both suspects have been charged with two counts of unlawful breaking and entering an auto and possession of burglary tools. Nara was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on those three charges, which carry a bond of $15,000 each. The 16-year-old suspect is in custody of the Juvenile Detention Center on the same charges plus one for a curfew violations.

Police say the investigation is on-going.
