Suspects identified in connection to race course robbery

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Birmingham police say they have arrested two men they think robbed the Birmingham Race Course. Officers say the men held up the business just before midnight on Sunday.

Not long after they got away, police spotted the two men near the race course, where they were arrested and the money taken was recovered.

43-year-old Vester Howard and 33-year-old Edward Jackson both face 1st degree robbery warrants. They are being held in the Birmingham City Jail.
