'Accidental' shooting case reopened as 'intentional'

A shooting that was first reported as "accidental" is now under investigation as "intentional."

Alton Hyche is charged with killing his wife, Penny, during a fishing trip in Brookwood back in 2008. At the time, Hyche claimed the shooting was an accident.

Tuscaloosa County's new cold case team reopened the case this year. They say ballistic tests show the shooting was intentional.

Hyche was arrested for murder Monday after being indicted by a grand jury.
