The Etowah County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a third person in connection to a series of thefts in the county.
Officers arrested Krista Michelle Calhoun, 20 of Gadsden, has been arrested and charged with one count of third degree burglary, one count of first degree theft of property and one count of second degree theft of property, which are all felonies.
Investigators say that Calhoun, 23-year-old Andrew Zack Conine and 20-year-old Justin Allan Ford allegedly broke into three residences, one in New Union and two in Duck Springs. Investigators say the duo is believed to be connected to four additional burglaries in Calhoun County.
A tip to investigators led to stolen property being located at a residence on Shahan Avenue in Gadsden. Police were able to recover jewelry, cameras, tools, a crossbow, an iPad, a laptop and ammunition and firearms.
"Conine is charged with two counts of second degree theft of property, three counts of third degree burglary, and two counts of first degree theft of property, all are felonies," states Investigator Ben Greene. "Ford is charged with one count of first degree theft of property, one count of third degree burglary, and one count of second degree theft of property, all are felonies."
The suspects are being held in the Etowah County Detention Center. Conine is being held on a $25,000 bond, Ford on a $12,500 bond, and Calhoun on a $10,000 bond..
