Two men have been arrested after allegedly stealing a purse from a woman at the Lakeshore Parkway Wal-Mart.
Homewood police officers responded to the Wal-Mart around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2 on a purse snatching call. The victim told them she had been loading up her car when a silver vehicle stopped next to her and the passenger got out and grabbed her purse.
Security cameras recorded the tag number of the suspects' vehicle, a 2009 silver Nissan Murano. A Shelby County deputy went to the owner's address in Shelby County and found the vehicle. The woman's stolen purse was found inside the suspects' vehicle.
Michael Francis Lee, a 30-year-old man from Birmingham, and Richard Owen Chance, a 28-year-old also from Birmingham, were arrested. They are each charged with second degree robbery and have bonds of $30,000 each.
Lee and Chance are being held in the Homewood City Jail.
