Dollar Tree employees robbed at gunpoint

The Gadsden Police Department is looking for suspects in connection to a robbery.

Officers say employees from the Dollar Tree on George Wallace Drive were walking to their cars around 10:15 p.m. after closing on Monday. The employees were approached by a young white male and a young black male who ordered them to the ground at gunpoint.

The suspects took the employees' purses and fled. One purse contained around $1,700 due to having the day's bank drop.

While fleeing, the suspects dropped everything except for around $130 of one victim's cash. All other items were recovered.
