GADSDEN, AL (WAFF) -

A Gadsden man was arrested after police said they found a gun reported stolen from a Boaz residence.

David Glenn Townson was arrested Wednesday and charged with receiving stolen property.

Investigators said he was in possession of a gun that was stolen from a Bluff Road residence on September 2.

Officials had received a tip that Townson had sold the gun. The person that bought the gun turned it over to investigators.

Townson was released from the Etowah County Detention Center on $2,500.
