Two dogs that work to rescue missing people are missing themselves.
The dog's owner says he came home Wednesday to his Lipscomb home to find the German Shepherds were no longer in his backyard and the gate was open. The dogs are named Bear and Loki. Scott Garland says they cannot open the gate themselves and he believes either someone took them or someone simply let them out for some reason. Garland and a group of his friends spent Thursday evening searching the Lipscomb area for the dogs. They were hoping if someone let them out they might find them wandering the street but so far no luck.
The dogs work with the non-profit group Canine SSA which does search and rescues in our area. Garland says he desperately wants to find the dogs because he loves them and they do important work for people in need.
If you see the dogs or know anything about their disappearance you can contact Garland at ksg32198@yahoo.com or call the Lipscomb Police Department at (205)428-6921.
