Jarvis Britton enters 'not guilty' plea

Today, the man accused of tweeting threats on the President's life appeared before a judge.

Jarvis Britton did not speak at his own arraignment on Tuesday morning. Britton's public defender, Rick Burgess, entered his plea of 'not guilty.'

Britton was seen in the courtroom with his hands and ankles shackled while wearing a red jail jumpsuit. He has been locked up since last month, after a federal judge denied bond.

Prosecutors in the case say Britton threatened President Obama over Twitter in June. He was visited by Secret Service and warned about his actions. The indictment came after Britton made more threatening tweets in September.

The judge said a psychological evaluation shows the 25-year-old suspect is not psychotic and acted out intentionally.
