Complaints from concerned citizens lead to a drug operation at a convenience store in Birmingham.

Police say five suspects were arrested Wednesday at Hood's Qwik Mart on Dugan Avenue. Detectives say they caught the suspects attempting to sell drugs.

"When citizens work with law enforcement and refuse to allow drug sales or other illegal activity to flourish in communities, they help to improve their quality of life dramatically," Birmingham police chief A.C. Roper stated.
