MAGIC CITY CLASSIC DRUM MAJOR COMPETITION - Jeh Jeh and Mike Dubberly get pumped up for this weekend's Magic City Classic! This long standing rivalry brings out the competition on the field not only between the football teams, but also between the bands. Jeh Jeh visited with the drum majors at Alabama State University and Mike visited with the drum majors and band at Alabama A&M University. They each learned a few moves and techniques from the drum majors. As we watch their new moves this morning, you have the chance to vote for your favorite - based on your loyalty to one of the teams or who you think actually did the best (most entertaining) job with the drum majors! Visit MyFoxAL.com  and click on the page Good Day Alabama page. You can vote for your favorite from there. Or you can text your vote to 20566 and enter JJ or Dub to cast your vote! Standard message and data rates may apply. If you missed the other half of the competition, you can also watch it on MyFoxAL.com on the Good Day Alabama page.

APP GUY - We talked with our App Guy - Brian Cauble with Appsolute Genius - joined us with a look at the latest in technology this week! Apples new baby on the market is the new mini i-pad. It starts at $329 dollars. It is 23% thinner and 53% lighter than the third generation i-pad. The display on the new mini-version is 7-point-9 inches compared to the larger i-pads 9-point-7 inch display. It also has a 10 hour battery life. Pre-orders begin tomorrow with the wi-fi only version going on sale November 2nd. Apple also has the new iMac model with a 21.5-inch screen. It starts shipping in November for $1,299 and up and a 27-inch version will start at $1,799. Also this week, Microsoft Window's 8 launches (tomorrow). CEO Steve Ballmer says he expects Windows 8 to kick off "the most epic year in Microsoft's history" but analysts aren't so sure. PC sales are in a slump... and that's where most windows sales come from these days.  Also, Windows 8 has a radically designed interface, which could turn off buyers. But eventually, sales could pick up -- given Window's brand power. Google might make things even more interesting - and dizzying for holiday shoppers - by introducing a $99 version of the Nexus 7 in the coming weeks.

Tomorrow on Good Day Alabama, we find out the winner between Mike Dubberly and Jeh Jeh Pruitt to see who is the best drum major! Don't forget to vote today! And Clare takes us to all the Magic City Classic excitement at Legion Field in the morning! Legendary Florida State Football Coach Bobby Bowden comes to Birmingham this week! He joins us live in the morning! The Oyster Festival is next weekend in Gulf Shores and we get the scoop on how you can make your plans to enjoy some fun! Birmingham's Bargain Mom joins us with some great deals for your family! Actor J. LaRose from films like "Saw 3," "Saw 4," and "Insiduous" joins us in the studio! Find out how you can meet him this weekend! And as always, Jeh Jeh gets fired up for some Friday night football with the Sideline Pep Rally! He joins us live from Fultondale High School ... that and more tomorrow on Good Day Alabama!
