SUICIDE PREVENTION WALK - Join in the 7th Out of the Darkness Community Walk in Birmingham to help create awareness, raise funds, and help to save lives.. Last year the Birmingham Walk ranked 5th in the nation with 1334 walkers and raising $130,161! This year's walk is Sunday at Heardmont Park which is located at: 5458 Cahaba Valley Road, Birmingham, Al. 35242. The walking path accommodates wheelchairs and strollers. Pets on a leash are welcome. Check-in begins at 1:00pm. Opening ceremonies will begin at 2:20 and the walk will start at 2:30. Closing ceremonies will take place at 3:30pm. Donations can be made at the walk in the form of cash, check, or credit card. Walkers who raise $150.00 or more will receive a walk t-shirt on the day of the walk. Chapter t-shirts and bandanas will be available for purchase.
