Woman accused twice of filing false police reports

Hoover police say a woman lied about being burglarized. Investigators say it's the second time she has filed a false report.

Officers say they got a call from Breanna Giles last Wednesday and she told them someone had stolen several thousand dollars worth of items from her apartment and spray painted obscenities on her walls.

Detectives say while interviewing her, Giles confessed the burglary was staged in order to collect on renter's insurance.

Last November, Fairfield police charged Giles with filing a false police report after she said her baby had been abducted. Her baby was fine.
