It's not yet Thanksgiving and already the garland is going up, lights are turning on, and stockings are being hung. For folks like Robert Harris, the holidays can't come soon enough.
"We actually just bought some Christmas decorations today. I'm sure in the next couple of days, we'll start putting it out and enjoying Christmas for as long as we can," said Harris.
But for others the decorations going up now sours the season.
Harry Corley owns Southern Home Services, a company that usually specializes in plumbing, heating, and air. However this year, Corley is taking on holiday decorating.
"We've had mainly residents, we had a shopping center, that has approached us, and a nursing home," said Corley. He says once the word got out the response was quick.
"We probably started getting calls mid October," said Corley. Even though it's a boost for business, Corley isn't a big fan of rushing into the holidays.
"It's starting to pick up right about now, although I think it should be against the law to throw the switch before Thanksgiving," he said.
