The city of Colony is working to move forward from their big political dispute.
Colony's old city council couldn't agree on who to appoint as mayor after two candidates tied in a municipal runoff. The situation led to the town hall being shut down last week.
Four council members took their oaths of office this week.
The Cullman Times reports the council agreed on an operating framework for the city while they continue to search for a new mayor. The town hall has now reopened.
