Annual food drive to be held at Boutwell Auditorium on Friday

Mayor William Bell and the City of Birmingham will host a food drive this Friday, November 16.

The city is asking for your food donations to be dropped off in front of the Boutwell Auditorium anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday.

"This time of year it is important that we continue to reach out to the community to make sure that everyone is able to have a good meal for the holidays. A lot of the things we take for granted are on a wish list of those who are less fortunate. This food drive will help us, help others," Mayor Bell said in a statement.

The food will go to needy families in the Birmingham area.
