Accident that trapped 15-year-old now under investigation

A car crash that left a 15-year-old boy trapped in the burning vehicle is under investigation.

Authorities say a father was driving off the Carraway Boulevard ramp in Birmingham when he lost control. The father and one of his sons managed to escape.

A 15-year-old was trapped in the back until firefighters arrived to rescue him. He was transported to children's hospital with injuries.

A firefighter was also injured during the rescue. There is no word on their conditions this morning.
