Editorial comments: Fiscal cliff

The following are coments to an editorial from FOX6 WBRC-TV General Manager Lou Kirchen, first aired on Thursday, November 15, 2012:

What we do and what we decide now is very important to what our children will have for their future. If we come together and pull together as the United States we will be more productive, we will get more accomplished and everyone can live a great and prosperous life.

On November the 6th this country had a chance to draw itself back from going down a physical (sic) cliff. Half the people in this country chose to spend four more years with this president and risk the chance of sending this country on over the cliff. So, I say, we all need to get down on our knees and pray and find the power some or another to bring this country to what it used to be.

Never before has so much been at stake with any one presidential election than with this year. America has now put us on the fast track to implosion. I really fear for the near and distant future of this country, this once great nation. And now its, we're doing ourselves in. We are gradually crumbling and if you believe biblical texts which I do as Christian, this is the way it's going to continue. It's not going to level off and it's certainly not going to improve.
