Police: 2 injured in Tuscaloosa hit-and-run

A search is on in west Alabama after officers say two people were hit by a car and the driver left the scene.

Tuscaloosa police officers responded to 12th Street and 10th Avenue at 2:10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16. Investigators say a 21-year-old male and a 20-year-old female were struck by a car and the driver fled the scene. The victims were taken to DCH with non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses said the vehicle that hit them was a red car with tinted windows. The Tuscaloosa Police Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident.
