AUBURN, AL (WBRC) -

Auburn head coach Gene Chizik says he was pleased that his seniors for this year can remember their last game at Jordan-Hare Stadium as a win.

The Tigers had a runaway victory against the Alabama A&M Bulldogs on Saturday that ended in a score of 51-7.

"Our goal was to send our seniors off on a good note for their last game at Jordan-Hare," said Chizik at the opening of his postgame news conference. "And it was good to be able to do that."
Chizik says his players competed well in the game. He includes getting many players on the field as an accomplishment for the team.

Next week, Auburn heads to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama in the Iron Bowl. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.

When asked if a win could cover for this season's issues, Chizik says that a win in the Iron Bowl could be considered something of a turn around.

"A win in the Iron Bowl for anybody is huge," said the coach.
