TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -
A ground breaking ceremony will be held for Tuscaloosa's newest pedestrian oriented student housing community.
The Lofts at City Center will include shops, restaurants, and apartments.
Students have already started signing leases to live in the building.
The mixed-use concept is the first of its kind to be built since the April 27th tornado of last year.
