This week marks a month since the bodies of seven murdered victims were found in Lincoln County, Tennessee and Madison County, Alabama.
Three more bodies were found at three other crime scenes - in Fayetteville, Huntsville, and Hazel Green.
The victims' families haven't had any peace.
They still don't know who could have been behind these murders, and they're frustrated.
Investigators held a private meeting with the families of the victims last week and assured them that they're working hard on the case.
A month later and approaching the holiday, the pain from losing loved ones hasn't subsided.
There were four crime scenes. The first victims - Amber McCaulley, Chabreya Campbell and her unborn child, along with Campbell's 1-year-old son Rashad Ragland - were found dead in one home in Lincoln County.
Hours later at a home in Fayetteville, the body of Jessica Brown was found.
Then investigation crossed state lines when Jeffrey Pope was shot to death in Huntsville.
By morning, the last body, Warren Crutcher, was found dumped in a wooded area in Hazel Green.
Crutcher was the common thread between all the victims, and investigators believe it's all connected.
A month later, the victims' families still haven't been officially told how they all died because of the sensitivity of the case.
They haven't been told about any potential suspects, but several people have been questioned. The only possible explanation anyone can point to is Crutcher's involvement in drug dealing.
Up to last week, investigators searched along the Flint River off Winchester Road in Madison County. A source close to the investigation said deputies were looking for evidence connected to the murders.
The Lincoln County Sheriff, Murray Blackwelder, said he wants nothing more than to put the people responsible for this in jail, and they are working hard on putting pieces together.
