Police officers are searching for two men who stole a van full of pharmaceuticals at an Adamsville pharmacy.
The theft happened around 11 a.m. Tuesday. Anthony Brooklere, the pharmacy owner, says that a delivery truck had arrived with the pharmaceuticals for his establishment and at least two others. He says the driver went to ring the bell for the delivery but two cars blocked the van.
One man put a gun to the driver's head and took off with the van. The van was later found, empty, in Docena, a small town nearby.
Authorities believe another vehicle met the van and the drugs were loaded into that vehicle.
No one was injured in the theft and Brooklere says this has never happened before. The driver told authorities that the suspects were wearing hoods.
The pharmacy hasn't said what drugs were in the van. Check back to MyFoxAl.com for more details as this story develops.
