
Shoppers wait in line at Kmart Thursday morning ahead of the Black Friday shopping rush.Holiday shoppers started an extra day early this year. People lined up at the Kmart on North Memorial Parkway as early as 10 p.m. Wednesday night.
The store, with a line wrapped around the building with about 150 people, opened at 6 a.m. on Thursday.
Shoppers were hoping to snag a few deals before the Black Friday shopping madness.
Many stores throughout North Alabama are opening on Thanksgiving day, hoping to catching customers who have a little extra time after the turkey to start their holiday shopping early.
