Albertville Police are investigating an attempted murder-suicide that sent a pregnant woman and her estranged husband to the hospital in serious condition.
The shooting happened at a mobile home on Lydia Street just after 7:00 Thursday night.
Police say the couple was having Thanksgiving dinner, when they got into an argument. The man shot his wife five times, and then turned the gun on himself.
When police arrived at the scene, the woman had already been taken to Marshall Medical Center by a family member. She was suffering a gun shot wound to the face and four wounds to the arm.
The man was taken to Marshall Medical Center by ambulance. He was suffering a serious gun shot wound to the head. He later died Saturday afternoon.
Both were then airlifted to Huntsville Hospital.
At last check, Albertville Chief of Police Doug Pollard says the woman, who was 8 months pregnant, is expected to be ok.
Pollard says the baby is also doing well, after doctors did an emergency C-Section Thursday night.
No names are being released at this time. The Marshall County District Attorney's has requested an autopsy.
