BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Hueytown Fire Chief David E. Williams passed away unexpectedly on Saturday. Chief Williams worked with the City of Hueytown for 35 years. He became Fire Chief April 2011.
Williams served as a firefighter will Hueytown for 35 years. He was on a hunting trip this weekend when it is believed he died of a heart attack. Flags outside the police-fire station are at half staff.
Viewing and funeral services will be at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Hueytown. The viewing will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11:00am.
