Officers found the victim, 29-year-old Dolouis Robinson suffering from a gunshot wound when they responded to a report of a person shot at #24 4th Court West. The shooting happened around 5:13 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24. Robinson was transported to UAB Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Police have arrested a suspect in the case, Walter Wallace, a 38-year-old man from Birmingham.
"Investigators found that both subjects were involved in a domestic dispute over a cell phone bill," Sgt. Johnny Williams said in a release Monday afternoon.
Wallace has been charged with murder and is being held on a $250,000 bond in the Jefferson County Jail.
