(Photo: WBRC video)Bessemer police are investigating a shooting that injured a man Monday night. It happened on Berkley Avenue at approximately 9:28 p.m. Nov. 26.
Authorities say the shooter drove down Berkley Avenue in a tan SUV and fired about six shots into a parked car before fleeing the scene.
When police officers arrived, they found a male victim sitting inside the vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to his back. He was treated by fire department emergency workers then taken to UAB Hospital. Police say one other person was inside the parked vehicle at the time of the shooting.
The window of another car in the neighborhood was also shot out.
Police are still looking for the shooter. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Bessemer police at 205-481-4366 or 205-481-4358.
