
The Etowah County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested and charged a man in connection to multiple thefts.
Natalie Barton with the Sheriff's Office says 29-year-old Jonathan Lynn Thrasher is facing three counts of third degree burglary, one count of breaking and entering a vehicle, two counts of second degree theft of property and one count of first degree theft of property, all are felonies and one count of third degree theft of property, which is a misdemeanor.
According to investigators, Sardis police received a call of a burglary in progress on Crosley Lane. Officers responded and found the door of the residence kicked in and a white male inside the hosue. The suspect attempted to elude law enforcement in a vehicle and eventually abandoned the vehicle in the woods.
Police found Thrasher's ID card in the vehicle along with stolen property from three residences in the Smith Institute community of Sardis City.
Thrasher was arrested Tuesday night by the Albertville Police Department. He is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $21,000 bond.
