Cab driver taken into custody after man found shot to death

BIRMINGHAM,AL (WBRC) - Birmingham Police were called out to 2nd Street Southwest and Cotton Avenue  at 8:30 this morning to investigate the report of a person shot.  The victim was transported to UAB Hospital where he was prounounced dead.

Birmingham Police learned the victim was involved in an altercation with the driver of a cab just before the shooting.  The suspect was located by officers of the East Precinct and taken into custody a short time after the shooting.
