Car with Birmingham Shooting victim found parked in front of Brookside Police Department

BIRMINGHAM,AL (WBRC) - A car with the body of a man who had been shot in Birmingham was found parked in front of the Brookside Police Department Friday night.  Birmingham Police who are investigating the homicide said the victim 31 year old Timothy Stewart of Brookside was found shortly before 10 p.m.

The shooting took place in the 200 Block of Dugan Avenue in Birmingham.  The driver of the car told Brookside Police Chief Dennis McCoy he and Stewart were attempting to buy drugs.  The driver also from Brookside said he drove Stewart to Brookside because he felt safer at home rather than where the drug deal took place.
