Family searches for answers in Cold Case murder

BIRMINGHAM,AL (WBRC) - April Span says a day doesn't go by that she doesn't think of her son, Denarius Moore.

It's been almost two years since the East Birmingham man was gunned down while leaving a tattoo parlor. Police still haven't made any arrests and have no suspects in the case. Span is now asking for the public's help in catching her son's killer.

 "He was a kind giving person. He gave his last to people," said Span.

December 23, 2010 Span returned home from Christmas shopping with her son. Around 5:00pm the phone rang. It was her son's fiance.

 "I could hear her saying help us, help us. And I asked her, where was Denarius and she said he was laying out there on the ground."
