Birmingham police say a suspect in an officer involved shooting now faces a second attempted murder charge.
Tuesday, Birmingham police released information that another warrant has been issued for 24-year-old Deandre Major.
He already faces a charge in connection with a shooting that involved Birmingham Mayor William Bell's security detail.
Court documents show that Major has a criminal history and was just released from prison days before the Nov. 30 shooting. Major has pleaded guilty to robbery, possession of marijuana and illegally carrying a handgun in 2011. Records also show that Major pleaded guilty to impersonating a police office in 2006 and he pleaded guilty to burglary in 2007.
Major is in the Jefferson County jail on no bond.
