A man facing arson charges in Winston County is being extradited back to Alabama from Oklahoma, where law enforcement caught him last week.
Charles William Heavner faces first degree arson charges in Winston County for allegedly dousing gasoline on a business in Haleyville and lighting it on fire. Officials say it happened at the Marshall Durbin plant in Hayleyville on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
Investigators say Heavner was upset over the company's refusal to extend a contract with him.
Winston County sheriff Rick Harris said he's relieved Heavner is off the streets.
"I'm really glad everyone helped us get this man and agencies 800 miles away apprehended the suspect and will allow us to bring the suspect in," said Harris.
Harris said he was concerned Heavner might try to do it again.
