Cooper Green Advisory Board meets for update on transition

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The Cooper Green Advisory Board meets today to get an update on the transition process to move in-patient care services to other hospitals.

Earlier this week Jefferson County manager Tony Petelos announced that the emergency room and in-patient care at Cooper Green would end December 31.

Petelos says the county is sending out more than 40,000 letters to Cooper Green patients on what to expect in the transition.
