
Aderemi Adebolda Onasanya. Source: Tuscaloosa Police DepartmentTuscaloosa Police have arrested and charged a man with attempted murder and other charges after firing shots at an officer.
Aderemi Adebolda Onasanya, 19 of Tuscaloosa, has been charged with reckless endangerment, second degree assault and shooting into an occupied dwelling. His bond totals $25,000. Earlier today police had charged him with attempted murder, which held a $60,000 bond, but that charge was downgraded.
According to police, an officer responded to a domestic dispute around 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the 3200 block of Culver Road. As the officer approached the residence, police say that Onasanya stuck his arm out of the front door and fired multiple shots. Onasanya then went back inside.
The officer radioed for additional units and more police officers as well as Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's deputies arrived for support.
Police say that Onasanya walked out of the front door and was taken into custody after a "brief struggle."
The officer received injuries to his hand. FOX 6 News is currently waiting for new on the officer's condition. Police also say that some of the bullets fired hit a residence across the street but no one at that home was injured.
