BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service responded to a house fire at a home in the southwest part of the city Thursday morning.

Smoke and flames could be seen coming from a house in the 1400 block of 16th Street Southwest. When firefighters got to the scene, the blaze was fully involved.

There is no word yet on if anyone was injured in the fire. Check back with this story for updates.
