Authorities say thieves stole enough furniture from model homes on display at an Alabama mobile home dealership to furnish their own hideaway.
The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reports (http://bit.ly/WMTObK) that the break-ins at the four model homes in Opelika happened sometime over the Christmas holiday.
Opelika police report that between 5 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Wednesday intruders forced their way into the homes at Freedom Homes and took 12 separate items.
Missing from the business were a gray sofa, a gray loveseat, a second sofa, a Henning cocktail table, two Henning end tables, a five-piece dinette set and a Pisa Spice rug.
