The two teams that will face off in Saturday's BBVA Compass Bowl are spending some time in Birmingham before the big game.
Members of the Pittsburgh Panthers and Ole Miss Rebels are getting the royal treatment around town, plus a crash course of all the sights in the Birmingham area.
Both teams got an early start to the day with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes breakfast. Then, they headed off to practice to get some work in.
Pittsburgh players worked out at Hoover High School while Ole Miss used the facilities at Birmingham Southern College.
After their workouts, the Panthers got a lesson on the South's history at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.
Meanwhile, the Rebels made a visit to Children's of Alabama hospital to lift the spirits of the patients, and maybe even give a new perspective to some of the big strong athletes.
Later this evening, the Pathers and Rebels will get to spend the evening at the Comedy Stardome, having a few laughs over a meal.
BBVA Compass Bowl organizers say they want to make this a memorable trip for both teams.
The game kicks off at noon on Saturday, Jan. 5. Tickets are available at bbvacompassbowl.com.
