
Source: MGN OnlineThe Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says that a carjacking and robbery ended in a crash that injured two suspects Thursday evening.
Chief Deputy Randy Christian tells FOX6 News that deputies received a call about a robbery around 8:30 p.m. in the 200 block of 7th Street Northeast in Graysville. The victim told them that he was robbed and carjacked at gunpoint.
Deputies spotted the stolen vehicle on Highway 78 at Heflin Avenue and began pursuit. The stolen vehicle struck and flipped a patrol car at Heflin and Cherry avenues. The two suspects, who are in custody, suffered non life-threatening injuries. Christian says the deputy whose car was hit will be fine.
Christian adds that an amount of money and drugs were found in the car.
