Sister of girl killed in Titus Co. wreck has died

An accident in Mt. Pleasant earlier this week that killed 5-year-old Chloe Elizabeth Adams has now claimed the life of her older sister.

7-year-old Emmarie Dawn Adams died just after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Children's Hospital in Dallas.

The girls' mother Dawn Marie Adams, 37, was seriously injured in the wreck that happened Monday evening on Highway 49 about three miles east of Mt. Pleasant, when a their vehicle was rear-ended by a pick-up truck driven by a Mt. Pleasant man.

Authorities are still investigating the accident.
