
A Mount Pleasant man is facing charges after he was involved in a wreck that killed two girls.
Around 6 p.m. Monday on Highway 49 in Mount Pleasant, a pickup truck driven by Herbert Parr, 74, rear-ended a car driven by Dawn Adams of Mount Pleasant. Adams' 5-year-old daughter, Chloe was pronounced dead at the scene. On Wednesday, Adams' 7-year-old daughter, Emmarie, died at Dallas Children's Hospital.
According to DPS officials, Parr is being charged with criminally negligent homicide.
Adams was seriously injured in the accident and transported to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
