
The new Target in Homewood is scheduled to open in March. Source: WBRC videoThe newest Target store in Jefferson County is looking for lots of workers. The new store at Colonial Brookwood Village in Homewood is set to open in March.
On Thursday, Jan. 17 and Friday, Jan. 18, Target will be interviewing people for about 200 hourly positions. A manager for the Homewood store says walk-ups are welcome to stop by the lower level of the Brookwood Colonial Mall on Thursday or Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The Homewood location will be two stories tall and approximately 135,000 square feet. It will be the sixth Target to open in Jefferson County, joining the Hoover, Fultondale, Trussville, U.S. 280 and Bessemer locations.
