
Gadsden's mayor is planning to increase school safety at all Gadsden city schools by staffing them daily with law enforcement officers.
Mayor Sherman Guyton says the city will hire retired law enforcement officials to come work in the schools to make sure all students and staff are safe.
Guyton is hoping to apply for federal grants to help pay for the project but he says the city will find the money with our without grants.
