Few flooding problems reported in Jefferson County

So far, Birmingham and Jefferson County has not been hit with serious flooding problems even as rain continues to fall in the area.

Jefferson County Emergency Management Director Allen Kniphfer says people should remain cautious. Knipher says the county has taken steps through its storm water prevent flooding as in the past.

Some parts of north Alabama did experience heavy flooding today, prompting officials to close roads in at least five counties.
