Nonprofit assists wounded heroes in Tampa and is chosen as a beneficiary and Charity Partner of the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic

On February 23 and 24, thousands will once again fill the streets of Tampa Bay for the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic. In the midst of the crowds will be a sea of red, white and blue—the jerseys from members of Team Hope For The Warriors®. Team Hope For The Warriors® is comprised of wounded service members, veterans and community members with a goal to raise funds and awareness for wounded heroes. Hope For The Warriors® is a national nonprofit organization that assists combat wounded service members, their families, and families of the fallen.
Team Hope For The Warriors® Tampa is an active running group that meets each week to train together. Hope For The Warriors® is excited to be an official charity partner of the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic this year.
“Hope For The Warriors® has become an integral part of the Tampa community, working with military commands, the VA and veterans’ organizations,” Mirka Young, Hope For The Warriors® Director said. “Our Team is excited to be a part of this Tampa tradition.”

Together, these Team members are united by the goal to improve the rehabilitation of combat wounded service members and military families.
