Blount County officials confirm a missing man's car was discovered in water near Locust Fork on Sunday.
Blount County Sheriff Loyd Arrington says the car was found at Low Water Bridge. He said the man who owns the car, Raymond Charles Wournell, was reported missing on Friday, Jan. 18.
Wournell is in his late 50's and lives in Locust Fork. The sheriff's office believes the last contact he had with anyone may have been with his coworkers at Kaiser Aircraft in Birmingham Monday, Jan. 14.
Sheriff Arrington said they are not searching for the man in the water at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Blount County Sheriff's Office at 205-625-4913.
